Ski resorts

In Casa Nora we are lucky to have two ski resorts and over 100 km of skiable terrain within a quarter of an hour of our home. You can also practice other sports such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or sledging. We’ll leave the details of each to you in case you don’t know which one to choose, but the good news is that Astún and Candanchú are linked by free 100k buses, so you’ll have no excuse not to ski everything!

Astún

Candanchú

  • Opened in 1976, it is the youngest resort in the Pyrenees.
  • It is very complete because, as well as having 54 slopes divided into levels (5 green, 18 blue, 21 red and 10 black), it also has 10 itineraries, 1 snowpark for intermediate levels, 1 competition stadium and 1 sledging area separate from the slopes, as well as a snow garden for the little ones.
  • Astún is also accessible in summer as it is the starting point of a beautiful route crossing several lakes in Spain and France. You can take the chairlift to Truchas to get started or you can walk there.
There are 5 catering establishments, both on the slopes and in the car park area, where you will also find a ski hire stand.
  • It is the oldest resort in Spain, having opened in 1928.
It is one of the resorts with the highest number of green (10) and blue (12) runs, making it perfect for children or beginners. But if you want to go further, you can ski on its red (16) or black (13) runs.
The seal of family tourism that it bears is a testament to this.
In Cancanchú you will find Candanchulandia, a snow garden for children aged 2 to 7, where they can get to know the snow.
It is also possible to go cross-country skiing, as there are several routes for this purpose.
You can eat in one of the restaurants on the slopes or in the village of Candanchú, where you will find a wide range of options.
